However, have you ever thought of a minimalist life?

Nowadays people live in a society with rich materials and frequent interpersonal communication, which means we must face the more and more complex relationship with the things we bought and the people we met. And Danshari can help us to deal with all those problems arising therefrom.
Danshari is from the book written by Japanese writer Yamashita Eiko and literally means refusal, disposal and separation. It suggests us to cut off all the unnecessary, inappropriate and uncomfortable things.
The text found on the internet can give a better and specific explanation of the word.
« Prosaically it means cleaning or tidying up, but there are psychological and religious dimensions, deriving in part from yoga, which suggest the disposal of mental, along with physical, junk. »

Indeed, living a satisfactory life with the least things can make us focus more on the feeling of current use and improve happiness.
The popular Korean variety show ‘Cabin in the forest’ has set up the Danshari theme in the show. The show allows two experimenters to keep only useful things to live in a cabin.
According to the program, there is a Danshari game, which is to continuously throw away one thing every day, and then take photos of the things you throw away and share them on SNS according to the date. The program also mentioned that generally, each person holds about 10 000 objects, of which only 20% are actually used. According to this statement, we often live with 8 000 things we don’t use at all.
However, the variety show only show part of Danshari and here I would like to discuss further followed by this concept.
To begin with, throw away some things you will not use and only keep things important. At the beginning of the year, it is good for you to clear up your table, closet and your floor to find out the redundant things. Imagine that, a chill and warm afternoon, you finally throw away all the useless things. Your place may seem like a little empty, but really tidy and clean. You can easily find everything this time. Seeing the big black rubbish bags in the corner, you feel a great sense of accomplishment from bottom of your heart.
Secondly, Danshari means to say goodbye to some people. Relationships are fluid and it is normal to lose someone and have someone new. Old friend can be alienated by time, experience and distance. This kind of process takes place naturally most of the time, whereas sometimes you have to be active to say goodbye to someone. On the one hand, we are talking about a selfish friend, an untrusty friend and a friend with ulterior motive. We are supposed to be as kind as we can to other people which doesn’t mean we can tolerant a bully. On the other hand, breaking up with an unsuitable lover. Love can be a gift and also can be poison. People can not let love go even they have already found out their relationship is sick. Stuck in an unhealthy relationship can have a bad effect. So, if someone can not bring you happiness, say goodbye to him or her is exactly the way to find happiness.
To end up with, what has been done in 2019, is it necessary to stick to it in the new year? It can be a hobby, a habit and even a career. Talking about the virtue of persistence all the time mislead many people to blindly stick to something not even suitable for them. So maybe give up something unsuitable is the beginning of success and fulfil your own value. And you have to be real to your heart and keep working on finding your advantages and interest.
Now, let us do a new Danshari game. Pick up a paper and list ten things that you want to get rid of, maybe a thing, maybe a bad habit, maybe someone.
